Padua, December 6, 2024 – An event of great interest for the livestock and beekeeping sector will be held next December 6th at the Aula Magna of the Antonio Vallisneri multifunctional center of the University of Padua. Starting at 10.00, we will deepen the studies and research developed on the use of this new technology as a sustainable solution for pest control Varroa destructor and Dermanyssus gallinae.

The meeting will focus on RNA interference (RNAi), a new generation technology that, by exploiting natural biological mechanisms, allows a targeted control of pest mites in an ecological way, minimizing the impact on the environment and preserving the health of non-target species. Varroa destructor and Dermanyssus gallinae represent a significant challenge for beekeepers and poultry farmers; this biotechnological approach offers a promising alternative to traditional methods.
