Padua, December 6, 2024<\/strong> \u2013 An event of great interest for the livestock and beekeeping sector will be held next December 6th<\/strong> at the Aula Magna of the Antonio Vallisneri multifunctional center of the University of Padua. Starting at 10.00<\/strong>, we will deepen the studies and research developed on the use of this new technology as a sustainable solution for pest control Varroa destructor<\/em><\/strong> and Dermanyssus gallinae<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting will focus on RNA interference (RNAi), a new generation technology that, by exploiting natural biological mechanisms, allows a targeted control of pest mites in an ecological way, minimizing the impact on the environment and preserving the health of non-target species. Varroa destructor<\/em> and Dermanyssus gallinae<\/em> represent a significant challenge for beekeepers and poultry farmers; this biotechnological approach offers a promising alternative to traditional methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
